The Enugu State Government has announced the commencement of a major recruitment exercise aimed at strengthening the workforce in its public primary and junior secondary schools across the state.
According to information released by the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), the recruitment covers teaching and non-teaching positions that will support the operation of the state's Smart Green Schools initiative. The exercise is expected to provide thousands of employment opportunities for qualified Nigerians seeking careers in the education sector.
Available positions include teachers, ICT personnel, digital librarians, guidance counsellors, laboratory attendants, administrative officers, account officers, technicians, and other support staff needed to improve learning and school administration.
Applicants are expected to possess the qualifications required for their preferred positions. Teaching roles are open to candidates with relevant education qualifications such as the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), or other approved degrees with professional teaching credentials where applicable. Some technical and administrative positions also require qualifications ranging from SSCE and OND to HND and bachelor's degrees.
The government said the recruitment forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the state's Smart Green Schools are adequately staffed with qualified professionals capable of delivering quality education and supporting technology-driven learning.
Interested applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and submit all necessary documents before the official application deadline. Candidates seeking teaching positions may also be required to provide evidence of registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) or proof that the registration process has commenced, where applicable.
