Kwara Lawmakers Endorse Danladi-Salihu for Governorship Race

The lawmakers stated their position during a press conference held at the Assembly in Kwara State.

Speaking on behalf of the legislators, the Majority Leader, Abdulkadri Magaji, dismissed claims that no primary election was conducted within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.

He described the reports as false, misleading, and capable of creating unnecessary division and tension within the party.
The lawmakers urged party leaders and members to concentrate on consolidating the party's gains and preparing for upcoming political engagements, rather than fueling unnecessary controversies and divisions.

They reaffirmed their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking further, the member representing Ilorin East Constituency, Rukayat Shittu, maintained that resistance to the Speaker's emergence as the party's preferred governorship candidate stemmed largely from individual interests, rather than the broader wishes and expectations of APC members across the state.
